We have many years of experience in producing and building wooden and log houses both for permanent residency and vacation homes. We have supplied more than 2.500 houses all over Denmark, in addition to Germany, Greenland, Iceland, Portugal, Spain and Italy.

Our headquarter is situated in Vejle, but we will gladly come out to meet you.

All of our houses comes as log houses and wooden houses. We have built a logistical system that allows us to work with both types. We can do this because we take care of everything from buying materials to the technical processing of the raw materials to the actual construction of the house. By handling the whole process, we ensure you as a customer quality in all details. We have our own design office with architects and building constructors, and together with our professional housing counselors we create an effective process, where your questions can be answered quickly and all the expertise is available for you to design a dream home for yourself.

We do not produce type-houses, but instead we built individually adjusted houses in line with what our customers wishes, so that they will end up with a wooden house of their dreams. We combine the qualities of wood with professional craftsmanship. Therefore you can with our log or wooden houses obtain a house that brings your home in line with your daily requirements and your wishes for quality, environmental considerations and economic viability.

What is the difference between log houses and wooden houses?

As a customer at Scanwo you can choose between log houses and wooden houses. We bring the expertise and the experience to allow such a choice between building style and house type. But what is the actual difference? Pure aesthetics!

In the interior of the house there are no difference between log houses and wooden houses. It is only the exterior looks that changes between the two. A log house is built by stacking the logs on top of each other, whereby the characteristic and robust corner-crosses on appears where the log-ends overlap. In a wooden house the exterior walls are finished by vertical or horizontal wooden boards, which comes in different profiles. There are no difference in price between a log house or a wooden house and the same goes for quality – all our houses are built by the same type of Nordic heartwood.
